LAD LAKE FOOD PANTRY
Established in 2003, the Lad Lake food pantry has become a source of sustenance for certain young adults and families associated with our organization who find themselves in need. Often, those enrolled in our Independent Living program and Connections have difficulty budgeting for food. The food pantry is intended as a means to help our youth stretch their dollars until they learn the fundamentals of living on their own.
Located at Milwaukee's Education and Life Skills Development Center (255 W. Capitol Drive), the food pantry is open every Monday and Thursday from 2-5PM, and also by appointment. When running at capacity, the program serves approximately 15-20 clients per week with an excess of 600 clients per year.
The food pantry accepts all nonperishable foods, as well as fruits and vegetables that fall within our capacity to distribute in a timely matter. We do not accept any outdated or expired products.
Most popular are: cereal, juice, snacks, crackers, tuna, beans, noodles, oatmeal, sugar, canned vegetable, pancake mix, macaroni and cheese, pastas, rice, peanut butter and jelly, hamburger helper, and spaghetti sauce.
