Our Residential Treatment program is located on the Dousman campus and boasts 365 acres of rural land. Featuring six living units - including 59 residential beds and one licensed Community Based Residential Facility (CBRF), a school and gymnasium, indoor and outdoor recreation facilities, administrative and maintenance facilities, a student employment center, and a private 50-acre lake, Lad Lake is uniquely suited to help boys successfully improve their behaviors, attitudes, and outlook on life so they may return home to their families and communities.

Our Residential staff is made up of approximately 50 full-time and 20 part-time employees, including a school administrator, a psychiatrist/medical director, a registered nurse, several psychotherapists, teachers, youth care workers, AODA (Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse) counselors, and more. They provide 24-hour treatment, education, and counseling for adolescent males and young adults (ages 9-21) experiencing psychological, emotional, and behavioral problems.

We use a multidisciplinary team approach to help stabilize resident behavior, create motivation for positive change, and develop the necessary pro-social skills to prepare them for successful reintegration.
