Our research indicates that 92% of Lad Lake youth in residential care have lived through multiple traumatic events. Many have lived through severe neglect. Some have been abused. Others witnessed violence. Nearly all experience psychological challenges.

In fact, 70% of Lad Lake youth have more than three mental health conditions like anxiety, depression or even PTSD.

Lad Lake’s evidence-based programs and expert staff are a critical component to helping youth succeed. With high staff-to-child ratios, specialized therapies including art and equine therapies, and onsite staff trained in trauma-sensitive care, Lad Lake residents and students are able to heal in a safe and therapeutic environment. 90% of students at Lad Lake schools receiving specialized help remain in school and on track for graduation.
